The European Union bans imports of Russian gold

Brussels (AFP) - The European Union on Wednesday agreed to a ban on Russian gold exports as well as a series of measures to complement the six packages of sanctions adopted since the start of Russia's war in Ukraine, diplomatic sources said.

The sources pointed out that the agreement reached by the ambassadors of the European Union countries in Brussels must be ratified by the governments to be published Thursday in the Official Gazette, in order for it to enter into force.
