Field sources reported that a number of Palestinian citizens were injured with varying degrees of severity today, Sunday, as a result of an attack carried out by an Israeli occupation drone targeting the courtyard of Ibn Sina School located in Al-Shati camp, northwest of Gaza City. The sources explained that the drone fired at least one missile towards a gathering of citizens inside the school, which necessitated transferring the injured to nearby hospitals to receive the necessary medical care.
In a related context, the Ministry of Health revealed statistical updates indicating the exacerbation of the humanitarian catastrophe in the sector, as the number of martyrs since the beginning of the aggression in October 2023 has risen to 73,032 martyrs, while the number of injured has exceeded 173,357 wounded, amid extremely complex health conditions faced by the residents of the besieged sector.
Official reports indicated that the period following last October 11, which was supposed to witness a ceasefire, alone recorded the martyrdom of 1,021 people. These figures reflect the continued violations and Israeli military operations targeting civilians and infrastructure in various areas of the Gaza Strip.
