The West Bank.. Israeli settlers assault foreign activists in Jericho

Four foreign activists were injured with varying degrees of wounds early Sunday, following an attack by Israeli settlers on them in the Bedouin community of "Ain al-Diouk" in the Jericho Governorate, eastern occupied West Bank.

Local sources reported that foreign activists were attacked early today by settlers in the Ain al-Diouk area near Jericho, after the settlers infiltrated a house where the activists were staying during their solidarity mission.

The attack resulted in injuries to four activists, three of which were described as moderate and one as serious due to severe beating. All the activists were transported to the hospital, with three holding Italian citizenship and the fourth holding Canadian citizenship.

Sources indicated that the settlers proceeded to steal the contents of the house, including the activists' passports and mobile phones, in addition to vandalizing some property inside the place.

The activists had been staying in the Bedouin community for several days to provide protection and support to the residents amid escalating settler attacks.

According to the Palestinian Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, settlers carried out 766 attacks against Palestinians and their properties in the West Bank during October.

The Israeli army and settlers continue their attacks and escalation in the West Bank since the beginning of the genocide against Gaza, resulting in the deaths of at least 1,085 Palestinians, injuries to nearly 11,000, and the arrest of more than 21,000 others.

The Israeli genocide in Gaza, which began on October 8, 2023, and lasted for two years with American support, has resulted in over 70,000 deaths and around 171,000 Palestinian injuries, most of whom are children and women, along with massive destruction, with the cost of reconstruction estimated by the United Nations at around 70 billion dollars.
