Two Palestinian children were injured on Thursday evening by Israeli army fire in the Jenin refugee camp, in the northern occupied West Bank.
The Palestinian Red Crescent stated in a statement that its teams dealt with two injuries to children from live bullets in the thigh in the Jenin camp, and they were transferred to the hospital.
This comes amid an escalation of the extensive military operation being carried out by the Israeli army in the northern occupied West Bank, specifically in the Jenin and Tubas governorates.
Earlier, eyewitnesses reported that Israeli forces surrounded a house in the Abu Zuhair neighborhood of Jenin city and arrested at least one citizen after storming the building, amid a heavy presence of infantry units and special forces in the vicinity of the neighborhood.
On Tuesday evening, the Israeli army launched Operation "Five Stones" in the northern West Bank, and Hebrew media reported that the army plans for the operation to continue for several days.
These developments are part of a continuous Israeli escalation in the West Bank for more than two years, characterized by incursions, arrests, and assassinations.
Israeli assaults have resulted in the death of more than 1,083 Palestinians and the injury of about 11,000.
