SDF attacks Syrian army positions in Raqqa countryside and fierce clashes erupt.

The Syrian News Channel reported that clashes erupted last night in the Badiyah of Maidan, east of Raqqa in the northeast of the country, following an attack by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) on army positions in the area.

The official channel indicated that the army's artillery responded to the sources of fire from the SDF after they targeted army points in the Raqqa countryside.

Local sources reported that a number of Syrian army soldiers were killed as a result of the SDF attack, without further details, while other local sources mentioned that there were also casualties among the SDF due to the violent clashes that took place with the army.

Neither side has issued an official tally of the casualties resulting from the clashes between them.

Clashes that occurred weeks ago cast doubt on the agreement signed last March between Syrian President Ahmad al-Shara and SDF Commander Mazloum Abdi.

The agreement stipulated the integration of the Syrian Democratic Forces into state institutions and emphasized that the Kurdish community is an integral component of the people and the state.

The agreement included the incorporation of all areas under SDF control into the new Syrian administration, including crossings, airports, and oil fields, as well as the return of displaced Syrians to their towns and villages in northeastern Syria.

The implementation of the agreement is to be completed before the end of this year.

Abdi stated in a speech during a conference in Iraqi Kurdistan yesterday, Wednesday, that his forces "do not pose a threat to anyone," and confirmed that the forces manage areas under the umbrella of the Syrian state.

The SDF commander expressed hope that all terms of the March 10 agreement signed with the government would be completed by the end of this year, stating that the agreement is "beneficial" and "has put an end to the rhetoric of hatred and revenge."
