U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Tuesday evening the return of all living detainees from the Gaza Strip, confirming that they are in "the best condition," while also declaring that the second phase of the Gaza agreement begins "now."
However, the U.S. president emphasized in his statements that the mission "is not over yet," criticizing the failure to return the bodies of the detainees, which he considered an essential part of the agreement.
In a later statement, Trump urged the necessity of returning the bodies of all deceased detainees, reiterating that "the mission has not been fully accomplished yet."
