The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on Tuesday that the death toll from the Israeli genocide since October 7, 2023, has risen to 67,913 martyrs and 170,134 injured.
The ministry stated in its daily statistical report that hospitals in the Gaza Strip received 44 martyrs and 29 injuries in the past 24 hours.
It added that among the martyrs, there are 38 individuals whose bodies were recovered, indicating that they were killed in previous days or weeks.
The ministry did not clarify the circumstances surrounding the deaths of the remaining six Palestinians or the injuries, despite a ceasefire between Hamas and Israel being in effect since Friday.
However, Hamas mentioned earlier today that the Israeli army killed and injured an unspecified number of Palestinians through shelling and gunfire, which it considered a violation of the ceasefire agreement.
In contrast, the Israeli army acknowledged today that it fired upon Palestinians whom it claimed crossed the yellow line and approached its forces, justifying its actions as a removal of a threat.
The Gaza Health Ministry stated in its report that there are a number of victims under the rubble and in the streets, where rescue and civil defense teams have been unable to reach them up to this moment.
Since Friday afternoon, the first phase of a ceasefire agreement has been in effect, following two years of Israeli genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.
Among the martyrs, there are 38 individuals whose bodies were recovered.
