Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan confirmed that what is happening in the Palestinian Gaza Strip is a clear genocide, and its perpetrator is Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. This came during an interview with Fox News on the sidelines of his participation in the United Nations General Assembly meetings.
In this regard, Erdoğan said: "There is no other explanation for it. It is a complete genocide. The perpetrator of this genocide is Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu."
Erdoğan added: "Netanyahu has committed a brutal massacre that has claimed the lives of tens of thousands in this genocide. We in Turkey completely oppose this genocide."
He pointed out that there are more than 125,000 injured in Gaza, and a large number of them have been transferred to Turkey for treatment.
In response to a question about the possibility of Hamas releasing prisoners, Erdoğan said: "It is wrong to blame Hamas alone for this situation; how can we ignore Netanyahu's actions?"
Erdoğan explained that he has shown numerous images in his speeches, depicting the situation in Gaza as a result of the Israeli attacks.
He continued: "Can it be said that Hamas is stronger than Israel in terms of weaponry? This is impossible. Israel uses its weapons relentlessly against people aged between 7 to 70, regardless of whether they are women, children, or the elderly."
In response to another question about ending the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, President Erdoğan said: "As you remember, Mr. Trump made a statement saying: I will end the war between Russia and Ukraine. Has it ended? It is still ongoing. Similarly, he said: I will end the Gaza war. Has it ended? No."
In response to another question, Erdoğan confirmed that he does not see Hamas as a terrorist organization, adding: "On the contrary, I see it as a resistance organization."
There is no other explanation for it. It is a complete genocide.
