Axios: Trump requested to hold a meeting with Arab leaders and Erdogan to discuss the Gaza issue.

Axios reported that the American president requested a meeting with a group of leaders from Arab and Islamic countries on the sidelines of the United Nations meetings in New York to discuss ways to end the aggression on the Gaza Strip, according to two Arab officials familiar with the meeting.

The site noted that the White House has already sent invitations to attend the meeting, which is expected to take place tomorrow, Tuesday.

It quoted officials as saying that leaders from Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Qatar, Egypt, Jordan, and the UAE have been invited to participate in the meeting with Trump.

It pointed out that the importance of the meeting comes just days before Trump hosts Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House on September 29.

Axios reported from sources that the White House wants the invited Arab and Islamic countries to participate in a post-war plan for Gaza and even send a stabilization force to replace the occupying army.

It said that "Arab leaders are expected to ask Trump to pressure Netanyahu to end the war in Gaza and refrain from annexing parts of the West Bank."

Sources indicated that Trump is expected to hold a separate meeting on the same day with leaders of the Gulf Arab states, with one of the main issues being their concerns following the occupation's aggression against Doha and targeting Hamas leaders.

Arab officials stated that the Gulf countries want guarantees from the Trump administration that such attacks will not be repeated.
