Tens of thousands in the capital Vienna demand an end to the genocide in Gaza and freedom for Palestine.

The Palestinian community in Austria organized, today Saturday, in collaboration with about 70 Austrian institutions, organizations, activists, civil society institutions, and charitable associations, and with the participation of the State of Palestine's mission to Austria, a mass demonstration that is the largest of its kind in terms of popular participation.

It was attended by tens of thousands, in an unprecedented scene in the Austrian capital. The event began with a series of speeches in front of "Christian Broda" square, and the demonstration proceeded towards the famous "Mariahilfer" street, reaching the Austrian parliament.

The event concluded with the participation of tens of thousands of demonstrators, raising the Palestinian flag and holding banners expressing their rejection of the war on Gaza, condemning the genocide against the Palestinian people, and demanding an end to the occupation, the achievement of freedom and independence, and recognition of the Palestinian state.

The organizers emphasized that this historic mass movement reflects a deep shift in Austrian and European public opinion regarding the Palestinian cause, as the scope of solidarity expands day by day, and the voices calling for an immediate end to the war and accountability for the perpetrators of crimes are growing.

The slogans and chants echoed by the demonstrators stressed that Palestine is a humanitarian issue, calling on the international community to take urgent action to save civilians in Gaza and to stop the ongoing bloodshed.

The demonstration was described as a cry of human conscience from the heart of Vienna, and a clear message to decision-makers that the Palestinian cause is no longer a distant issue, but has become strongly present in the European street, and that the world's silence in the face of genocide is no longer acceptable.
