A British organization supportive of Palestine has filed a lawsuit demanding the issuance of an arrest warrant against Israeli occupation President Isaac Herzog, on charges of incitement to genocide in the Gaza Strip.
Ismail Patel, the head of the "Friends of Al-Aqsa" organization, stated in a press release yesterday, Tuesday, that the group has initiated criminal proceedings against Herzog based on "incitement to carry out indiscriminate attacks against civilians in Gaza," noting that the request submitted to the British Attorney General is based on statements made by Herzog on October 12 and 15, 2023.
This legal action comes as more than 60 British MPs sent a letter to Prime Minister Keir Starmer, expressing their strong opposition to Herzog's planned visit to London, scheduled between September 10 and 12 of this year.
Britain is not only obligated to refrain from committing genocide, but also to prevent incitement to it and to punish its perpetrators.
