The West Bank.. Israeli settlers burn Palestinian agricultural lands.

On Monday, Israeli settlers set fire to lands in the village of Yitma south of Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank, while others cut down more than 21 fruitful olive trees in the village of Farqa west of Salfit.

Local sources reported that the head of the Yitma village council, Ahmad Abu Sanobar, said that "a number of settlers disembarked from a bus on the main road on the northern side of the village and set fire to the olive trees adjacent to the road, resulting in some of them burning."

Settlers also threw stones at passing Palestinian vehicles near the "Yitzhar" settlement south of Nablus, with no injuries reported.

In Salfit, Israeli settlers demolished approximately 110 meters of walls and cut down more than 21 fruitful olive trees, while residents were unable to access some sites that had been subjected to similar attacks.

According to data from the Palestinian Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, settlers committed 431 attacks against Palestinians and their properties in the West Bank during August.

The attacks ranged from "armed assaults on Palestinian villages, imposing facts on the ground, field executions, vandalism and land leveling, and uprooting trees."

They also established 18 new outposts "characterized by agricultural and pastoral aspects."

In preparation for the annexation of the occupied West Bank, the occupying state has intensified its crimes in the West Bank since it began its extermination war on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, including demolishing homes, displacing Palestinian citizens, confiscating their lands, and expanding and accelerating settlement construction.

Alongside the extermination war on Gaza, the Israeli army and settlers in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, have killed at least 1,018 Palestinians and injured about 7,000 others, in addition to arresting more than 19,000.
