The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on Sunday the registration of 5 new deaths in the past 24 hours due to famine and malnutrition, including 3 children, bringing the total number of malnutrition-related deaths to 387 martyrs, including 138 children.
The ministry clarified that since the announcement of the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC), 109 deaths have been recorded due to hunger and malnutrition, including 23 children.
The Ministry of Health confirmed that these figures reflect the worsening humanitarian disaster in the Gaza Strip, amid the ongoing blockade and shortages of food and medicine, threatening the lives of thousands of civilians, especially children, women, and the elderly.
