With the completion of the 700th day of the genocide, ethnic cleansing, and forced displacement perpetrated by the Israeli occupation against the Gaza Strip, the government media office in the sector issued a comprehensive update reflecting the scale of the humanitarian disaster and the total destruction that has affected all aspects of life.
The report reveals shocking numbers regarding the martyrs, the injured, and the displaced, in addition to material losses and infrastructure damage, forming a complete picture of the suffering of more than 2.4 million Palestinians living under continuous bombardment, siege, and starvation for over two years, amid a deafening international silence.
According to the latest statistical update, more than 2.4 million people in the Gaza Strip have faced genocide, starvation, and ethnic cleansing for 700 consecutive days. The occupation has destroyed nearly 90% of the sector almost completely, while initial direct losses have been estimated at over 68 billion dollars.
The Israeli forces control more than 80% of the area of the sector, after dropping more than 150,000 tons of explosives, including 109 strikes targeting areas presumed to be "safe," such as the Al-Mawasi area.
The total number of martyrs and missing persons has reached 73,731, including 64,300 who have reached hospitals, while 9,500 remain under the rubble or missing.
Among the victims are more than 20,000 children and 12,500 women, including 8,990 mothers and 22,404 fathers, in addition to more than 1,000 infants, of whom 450 were born during the war and later martyred.
Additionally, 1,670 medical personnel, 139 civil defense members, 248 journalists, 173 municipal employees, 780 aid security police officers, and 860 sports workers have been martyred.
The occupation has committed massacres against 39,000 families, of which 2,700 were completely annihilated with 8,563 martyrs, while only one family out of six thousand survived.
The data indicates that more than 55% of the martyrs are children, women, and the elderly, while 376 people died due to starvation, and 23 others in incidents of aid being dropped from the air.
The number of injured has reached 162,505, including 19,000 in need of long-term rehabilitation, and more than 4,800 cases of amputation, 18% of whom are children.
There have also been 1,200 cases of paralysis and 1,200 cases of vision loss recorded. The occupation has arrested 6,691 civilians, including 362 medical personnel, 48 journalists, and 26 civil defense members.
The bombardment and siege have led to an increase in the number of widows to 21,182 and orphans to 56,320, while more than 2.1 million people have contracted various infectious diseases, including 71,338 with hepatitis.
The occupation has targeted 38 hospitals and 96 healthcare centers either completely or partially, along with 197 ambulances and 61 civil defense vehicles, within 788 attacks on healthcare services.
95% of the schools in the sector have been damaged, and more than 90% of their buildings need reconstruction or rehabilitation, as 662 schools and educational institutions have been directly bombed, and 163 colleges and schools have been completely destroyed.
More than 13,500 students have been martyred, and 785,000 have been deprived of education, while more than 830 teachers and 193 academics and researchers have been killed.
The occupation has destroyed more than 833 mosques completely and 180 partially, targeted 3 churches, in addition to destroying 40 cemeteries and stealing 2,450 corpses, with 7 mass graves established inside hospitals.
The number of completely destroyed housing units is about 268,000, with 148,000 severely damaged and 153,000 partially damaged. More than two million people have been forcibly displaced, and 288,000 families are homeless, while the occupation has targeted 273 shelters.
The occupation has closed the Gaza crossings for 186 consecutive days, preventing the entry of more than 111,600 aid trucks, targeting 46 food kitchens and 61 distribution centers, resulting in the martyrdom of 67 charity workers.
More than 650,000 children face the risk of dying from hunger, including 40,000 infants, while the sector needs 250,000 cans of milk for children monthly, which are being prevented from entering.
The occupation also prevents the travel of more than 22
