The Israeli army demolished a school in the Zeitoun neighborhood south of Gaza City, as part of its ongoing aggression against the city in preparation for its complete occupation.
On Thursday, a video circulated on social media, captured by an Israeli drone, showing the army demolishing the "Al-Furqan Elementary School for Girls" and leveling it to the ground.
The footage showed a massive explosion at the school site and its surroundings, while the area appeared completely devastated with destroyed buildings and streets.
This comes after the Israeli army launched a new aggression on Gaza City on August 13, which has resulted in the deaths of 1,100 Palestinians and injuries to 6,008 others.
On Wednesday evening, the army officially launched an operation named "Gideon's Chariots 2," aimed at the complete occupation of Gaza City, escalating the catastrophic humanitarian situation of the Palestinians.
The army has made "Al-Furqan School" a gathering point for its tanks and vehicles participating in the military operation in the area.
The Israeli army often uses buildings and homes in the areas it invades in Gaza as bases for gathering its vehicles and soldiers, before setting them on fire or demolishing them after completing its operations.
With American support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, which includes killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement.
