A dead in Nablus as the occupation demolishes homes and confiscates land in the West Bank.

A Palestinian was shot dead today, Wednesday, in the Balata refugee camp in Nablus, while Israeli occupation forces demolished homes and confiscated more land in the West Bank.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced the martyrdom of young man Muhammad Madani (25 years old) by the bullets of the occupation forces during their incursion into the Balata camp. The Palestinian news agency reported that the young man was hit by live ammunition and was transferred to the hospital where he was pronounced dead due to his injuries.

The agency stated that special Israeli forces infiltrated the Balata camp in a vehicle with Palestinian license plates and surrounded one of the houses, noting that other forces spread in the camp's alleys and fired bullets and tear gas canisters.

The occupation forces had sent military reinforcements towards the camp from the Awarta checkpoint south of Nablus coinciding with the entry of the special forces into the camp.

Palestinian sources reported that the invading forces arrested the wanted young man Mujahid Khadish after storming his house in the Balata camp.

Meanwhile, Israeli occupation forces demolished two houses in the Abu Sud area in the town of Al-Khadr south of Bethlehem and notified the owners of dozens of houses in the same area of impending demolition.

Simultaneously, sources reported that occupation forces, accompanied by demolition vehicles, stormed the entrance of the town of Dura south of Hebron and began demolishing the minaret of a mosque under construction in the village of Al-Hijri east of the city.

The sources indicated that the occupation forces sent reinforcements to the area and forced vehicle drivers to leave the site before starting the demolition operations.

In the meantime, sources reported that settlers seized a Palestinian house in the old town of Hebron in the southern West Bank and raised Israeli flags on it after storming it under the protection and security of the occupation forces.

The same sources pointed out that the occupation confiscated several other properties in Hebron, including the old municipality building and a school.

They added that Benjamin Netanyahu's government has reinstated the so-called Absentee Property Law, which allows for the seizure of homes belonging to Palestinians who were forcibly displaced during the Nakba.

In the northern West Bank, the occupation decided to confiscate more than 450,000 square meters of land from villages in the Nablus and Qalqilya governorates for the purpose of settlement expansion.

In this context, the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission stated that the occupation authorities carried out 57 demolition operations and attempted to seize 45 dunams of Palestinian land during the past month.

The commission added that the Israeli occupation army and settlers carried out 1,613 attacks on Palestinians and their properties in the West Bank last month.

Since the start of the war on Gaza, the West Bank has witnessed unprecedented escalation by the occupation army and settlers, resulting in the martyrdom of at least 1,017 Palestinians, the injury of 7,000, and the arrest of 18,500, according to official Palestinian data.
