The Palestinian Foreign Ministry responds to Smotrich: "His statements incite genocide and displacement."

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates described the statements made by Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich as "a direct incitement" against the Palestinian National Authority and the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people in their homeland.

The ministry affirmed that these dangerous statements are part of a systematic Israeli campaign to commit further crimes.

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry condemned in the strongest terms the hostile statements made by Smotrich, considering them a clear and direct call to undermine the Palestinian Authority and violate the rights of the Palestinian people.

The ministry warned that such rhetoric fuels violence and constitutes a blatant violation of international law, aiming to legitimize Israeli repression policies.

The ministry confirmed in its statement that Smotrich's remarks are not an isolated incident, but rather an extension of an incitement approach practiced by more than one Israeli official.

According to the Foreign Ministry, this rhetoric aims to create an atmosphere for committing more interconnected crimes, primarily: the expansion of illegal settlements, the annexation of parts of the occupied West Bank, genocidal crimes against Palestinians, and the forced displacement of populations from their lands.

The ministry called on the international community to assume its responsibilities and take immediate action to put an end to these incitements and hold the Israeli officials accountable for them.
