A Palestinian governmental authority revealed on Tuesday that Israel has confiscated hundreds of dunams of citizens' land in the governorates of Nablus and Qalqilya in the northern occupied West Bank.
This was reported by the Palestinian Wall and Settlement Resistance Authority in a statement that was received. This step comes amid procedures and discussions being conducted by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his ministers in preparation for the annexation of the West Bank.
Since the beginning of its genocidal war on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, Israel has intensified its crimes, including the demolition of homes, the displacement of Palestinian citizens, the confiscation of their lands, and the expansion and acceleration of settlement construction.
The Wall Resistance Authority stated that "the Israeli occupation authorities announced today their seizure of an area of 455.6 dunams (a dunam equals one thousand square meters) of land from Jayyous and Far'ata in the eastern Qalqilya governorate, and Tel in the western Nablus governorate."
It clarified that the announcement came under the title "State Lands," a designation used by the occupying state to control and confiscate more land, targeting the area where the colonial outpost of Havat Gilad was established in 2003 on the lands of the villages of Jayyous, Far'ata, and Tel.
