"Education": 18,651 students have been killed since the beginning of the aggression

The Ministry of Education and Higher Education stated today, Tuesday, that 18,651 students have been killed and 29,114 have been injured since the start of the Israeli aggression on October 7, 2023, against the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.

The Ministry clarified in a statement today, Tuesday, that the number of students killed in the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the aggression has reached more than 18,508, and those injured to 28,142, while 143 students were killed in the West Bank and 972 others were injured, in addition to the arrest of 792.

It pointed out that 972 teachers and administrative staff were martyred and 4,538 were injured in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, with more than 199 arrested in the West Bank.

It noted that 172 public schools were completely destroyed in the Gaza Strip, in addition to 63 university buildings, while 118 public schools and more than 100 schools belonging to UNRWA were subjected to bombing and vandalism, and the occupation's aggression led to the removal of a total of 25 schools along with their students and teachers from the educational record.

In the West Bank, 152 schools were vandalized, and 8 universities and colleges faced repeated incursions and vandalism, in addition to the postponement of the academic year due to the financial crisis resulting from the continued seizure of the occupation of clearance funds.
