Gaza witnessed a violent night on Tuesday, as Israeli airstrikes resulted in dozens of dead and wounded, most of whom were children and women, according to medical sources at Al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza City.
The bombardment focused on Gaza City, where warplanes targeted an inhabited house in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood and a residential building in the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood.
Rescue and civil defense teams confirmed that the majority of the victims pulled from the rubble are civilians, raising the toll of human losses.
A tent for displaced persons in the Mawasi area of Khan Younis in the southern sector was also bombed, resulting in injuries to several residents who sought refuge there to escape the airstrikes in other areas, despite it being previously classified by the occupation as a 'safe' place.
In the northern sector, occupation forces continued their ground operations and systematic destruction of homes and infrastructure, using explosive robots to demolish residential blocks.
Artillery shelling and gunfire from drones and military vehicles continued throughout the night, in an attempt to impose a state of constant terror and prevent any return to normal life in the northern areas.
