The American newspaper "The Wall Street Journal" revealed a state of deep exhaustion and increasing doubts prevailing among the ranks of the occupying soldiers and officers, nearly two years into continuous fighting.
The report highlighted the severe exhaustion experienced by the soldiers. After serving on multiple fronts for long periods, many of them confirmed that they are "completely exhausted."
This condition is not limited to the physical aspect alone, but extends to include immense psychological pressure due to the prolonged duration of military operations in Gaza and the lack of a clear end in sight.
This exhaustion comes at a critical time, as military operations heavily rely on reserve forces, who have left their civilian lives and jobs to engage in a fight that does not seem to have a near end.
Perhaps the most concerning aspect of the report is the increasing questions among the soldiers themselves regarding the goals and justification of the war.
The number of those questioning the justification of the war is increasing, which is a dangerous indicator of the erosion of morale and trust in political and military leadership.
