The Israeli Broadcasting Authority claimed that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is considering shortening the duration of the war on the Gaza Strip for fear of losing American support, as it is 'not unlimited', especially from the current Republican administration.
Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed: 'Israel was the strongest lobbying group I have seen and had complete control over Congress, and now it has lost that.'
The authority reported that close associates of Netanyahu said he is 'thinking about shortening the war timelines from what was planned, fearing that Israel might lose Republican support in the war.'
In recent days, Netanyahu told ministers of the security cabinet 'the cabinet': 'Although Israel has support from Trump, it is not unlimited.'
The authority added: 'Netanyahu said this to the ministers in the cabinet and in private meetings, after some claimed that Israel had an unlimited credit from Trump to continue the war.'
A week ago, Trump told reporters in his office that he is 'in constant contact with Netanyahu regarding the war in Gaza, and he believes that in the next two or three weeks there will be a decisive end to the war.'
The U.S. president said: 'We must not forget October 7 (the attack launched by Hamas on military bases and Israeli settlements in 2023), but this matter (the war on Gaza) must be ended.'
At the end of July, the American newspaper 'The Atlantic' reported, citing two American sources, that Trump believes Netanyahu 'is prolonging the war in Gaza to stay in power', contrary to the president's desire to end it.
According to the report, Trump and some of his aides believe that the Israeli war objectives in Gaza 'have long been achieved', and that Netanyahu chose to continue the war for political motives.
At that time, a spokesperson for the Israeli Prime Minister responded, claiming that he 'does not comment on false news.'
This comes at a time when Israel is preparing to occupy the city of Gaza, claiming 'to defeat Hamas and return the captives', amid international warnings that this could lead to the complete destruction of the sector and increase the suffering and displacement of Palestinians.
Israel is set to begin on Tuesday the recruitment of about 60,000 reserve soldiers in preparation for the occupation of the city of Gaza, according to the Hebrew newspaper 'Maariv.'
Trump told the Daily Caller: 'Israel was the strongest lobbying group I have seen and had complete control over Congress, and now it has lost that… They will have to end this war, and there is no doubt it harms Israel, and no one has done more for Israel than I have, including the recent strikes on Iran.'
The cabinet met on Sunday to discuss plans for the occupation of the city called 'Gideon Vehicles 2', which comes as a continuation of 'Gideon Vehicles' launched by the occupation army in the Gaza Strip between May 16 and August 6.
On Sunday, 'Channel 12' revealed a confidential internal document from the army acknowledging the failure of the 'Gideon Vehicles' operation to achieve its declared goals, primarily defeating 'Hamas' and returning Israeli captives from Gaza.
With American support, 'Israel' has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, including killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, ignoring all international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice to stop it.
The Israeli genocide has resulted in 63,557 martyrs and 160,660 injured Palestinians, most of whom are children and women, more than 9,000 missing, hundreds of thousands displaced, and famine that has killed 348 Palestinians, including 127 children.
