Hebrew media: Netanyahu is discussing on Friday a plan to replace the leaders of the Palestinian Authority in Hebron with tribal leaders.

The Hebrew Channel 15 revealed that the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, is holding a meeting today to discuss a strategic plan aimed at replacing the Palestinian Authority in the city of Hebron with tribal leaders. This plan is not limited to mere administrative change, but seeks to separate Hebron from the rest of the areas of the West Bank under the control of the Authority.

The plan relies on empowering tribal leaders as an administrative and security alternative, reflecting the occupation's intention to politically and geographically isolate the city of Hebron. According to leaks, the ultimate goal goes beyond mere administrative change, reaching the isolation of the city from the areas of the Palestinian Authority.

This step is considered a practical application of the policy of geographical fragmentation, aiming to create isolated cantons that are difficult to connect in any future settlement. Implementing this plan will pose a significant threat to the Palestinian presence in Hebron.

The mechanism for implementation is based on undermining the Palestinian Authority in Hebron, as the meeting led by Netanyahu is considering granting extensive administrative and security powers to tribal leaders and major families. This approach seeks to create an alternative local governance structure that lacks loyalty to the central authority in Ramallah.

Observers believe that this plan is part of the Israeli occupation's vision to dismantle the Palestinian Authority and apply the tribal governance model previously proposed for the Gaza Strip. The aim is to establish local leaderships that lack a comprehensive national project, facilitating security control over the city.

This plan is expected to provoke angry reactions from the Palestinian Authority, which will consider it a declaration of war on its existence and institutions. Experts warn that relying on tribal structures to manage a complex city like Hebron may lead to internal conflicts over influence.

This step falls within the framework of the occupation's policy aimed at enhancing control over Palestinian areas, threatening to plunge the region into a spiral of security chaos that will ultimately serve the agenda of the occupation.
