The spokesperson for the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Majid Al-Ansari, confirmed that the occupying state is not seeking to reach a ceasefire agreement in the besieged Gaza Strip. This came during statements made by Al-Ansari, where he indicated that Qatar continues its efforts to end the genocide being perpetrated by Tel Aviv against the Palestinians.
Al-Ansari explained that Qatar is in contact with all concerned parties, but there has been no official response from the occupation regarding the acceptance or rejection of ceasefire proposals. He noted that communication between mediators occurs daily, emphasizing the importance of international pressure on the occupation to stop the aggression.
Al-Ansari pointed out that Qatar is committed to its efforts until the end of the war and welcomes all efforts aimed at ending the conflict. He also confirmed that the location of the negotiations is not important for Qatar or Egypt, referring to the possibility of moving the talks to a new country.
In a related context, Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid stated that Hamas's response to the mediators' proposal regarding a ceasefire includes 98 percent of what the American envoy to the Middle East proposed. Hamas had previously confirmed its acceptance of the proposal, which includes the release of Israeli prisoners in exchange for a ceasefire.
On the other hand, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ignored waiting for the occupation's response to the ceasefire proposal and approved a plan to occupy the city despite international warnings. The occupation government is also evading reaching an agreement, as it presents new conditions related to the disarmament of Palestinian factions.
Tel Aviv estimates that there are 50 Israeli prisoners in Gaza, while more than 10,800 Palestinians are held in the occupation's prisons under harsh conditions. Since the beginning of the aggression on October 7, Israeli military operations have resulted in a large number of martyrs and injuries among the Palestinians.
The Israeli escalation on the ground is expanding and will not lead to positive results.
