Al-Daqran: 600,000 children without vaccinations and 1,600 doctors killed in a humanitarian disaster in Gaza

The health system in the Gaza Strip is experiencing a complete collapse, as hospitals and medical teams are subjected to systematic targeting, exacerbating the humanitarian disaster that the population is suffering from. While the international community stands by as a spectator, the massacres continue, violating all international agreements that stipulate the protection of medical teams and journalists.

Dr. Khalil Al-Daqran, spokesperson for Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, revealed shocking figures that reflect the scale of the humanitarian tragedy, with the number of medical team martyrs rising to more than 1,600, in addition to the martyrdom of 244 journalists and 38 members of the civil defense teams, who were providing humanitarian services to citizens under exceptional circumstances.

The health infrastructure in Gaza has been completely destroyed, with 22 hospitals out of service, leaving citizens without basic medical care. Among these hospitals is the only government central hospital in the Gaza Governorate, which was providing vital services to the injured and sick.

The operational hospitals are being directly bombed despite being filled with patients and the injured, which increases the suffering of citizens amid a significant shortage of medicines and medical supplies. This situation requires urgent intervention to save what can be saved.

The occupation continues to prevent the entry of medicines, water, treatments, and medical supplies, pushing the health system towards complete collapse. Statistics indicate that more than 600,000 children in the Gaza Strip are deprived of essential vaccinations, worsening the health conditions.

The number of killed children has risen to more than 18,000, while more than 11,000 women have been killed, bringing the total number of martyrs to over 63,000. These figures reflect the scale of the humanitarian disaster that the sector is experiencing.

Al-Daqran called for an international investigation into these documented crimes, emphasizing the necessity of holding the occupation accountable for its violations. He affirmed that these crimes cannot go unpunished, as they are committed in full view of the world.

In a joint statement, the World Health Organization, the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), the World Food Programme, and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) confirmed that more than half a million people in Gaza are trapped in famine, demanding the occupation to ensure the availability of food and medical supplies for the residents of Gaza without obstacles.
