On the 688th day of the genocide being waged by the occupying entity against the Gaza Strip, the death toll has risen to 58 Palestinians, who were killed as a result of the shelling and airstrikes that targeted various areas of the strip in the past hours. These massacres come at a time when the occupying army continues its military operations by blowing up residential buildings in Gaza City.
Medical sources reported that the intense bombardment the strip has faced resulted in the martyrdom of 58 Palestinians since dawn on Saturday, further increasing the suffering of the Palestinian people under the imposed siege. These massacres coincided with the occupation forces demolishing and destroying several residential buildings in the city.
On the resistance front, the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced that its fighters managed to target two tanks belonging to the occupying army with powerful explosives south of the Zeitoun neighborhood. This response reflects the strength of the resistance despite the ongoing aggression.
The assaults by the occupation were not limited to the Gaza Strip but extended to the occupied West Bank, where a Palestinian was injured by the gunfire of the occupation forces in the town of Al-Ram north of Jerusalem, while occupation soldiers stormed the town of Beit Awwa west of the city of Dora south of Hebron, escalating tensions in the occupied areas.
In an official acknowledgment, the occupying army revealed that the number of its officers and soldiers killed since the beginning of the war has risen to 899, including 455 who were killed during the ground operation in the Gaza Strip. The military statement also indicated that 167 officers and soldiers are currently receiving treatment for injuries sustained in the battles in Gaza.
On the political front, Hamas praised what it described as the 'brave' stance of the Dutch Foreign Minister and his colleagues, who resigned due to their refusal to impose sanctions on the occupying entity. The movement called on world governments in a statement to boycott the occupying entity and punish it, and to pressure it to stop what it described as the 'crime of genocide and starvation' against the Palestinian people.
