Israeli security sources reported that the occupying army will soon begin evacuating Palestinians from the city of Gaza, following the completion of the encirclement operation expected to last for about two months. These plans are part of the strategy of Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir, who aims to achieve a slow occupation of the city to preserve the lives of soldiers and avoid harming hostages.
According to the sources, the occupying army will start working on evacuating Palestinians in the coming days, which raises significant concern among Palestinian circles. These plans come at a time when the intensity of the Israeli aggression on the besieged Gaza Strip is escalating, as the city is subjected to continuous bombardment.
In the same context, the newspaper "Maariv" reported from sources in the occupying army that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu does not intend to halt Operation "Gideon's Chariots 2," which is believed to enable the army to occupy Gaza and achieve victory over Hamas. Over time, the term "a step away from victory" has turned into a description of a prolonged war.
Families of Israeli prisoners in Gaza expressed their concern over the continuation of the aggression, demanding an end to the occupation of the city before it leads to the death of their sons. During a protest in Tel Aviv, the Families of Prisoners Committee confirmed that the occupation of the Gaza Strip will lead to the collapse of negotiations, putting the lives of prisoners and Israeli soldiers at risk.
The Families of Prisoners Committee accused Netanyahu of condemning them to an eternal war, stating that he is sending their sons to death in Gaza in a war that has achieved its objectives. These statements reflect a state of discontent among families who fear for the fate of their children.
Since October 7, 2023, the occupying state has committed genocide in Gaza, including killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, ignoring all international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice to stop the aggression. This genocide has resulted in 62,622 martyrs, 157,673 injured, most of whom are children and women, in addition to more than 10,000 missing and hundreds of thousands displaced.
The occupation will begin evacuating Palestinians from Gaza, focusing on preserving the lives of soldiers.
