A Palestinian citizen and his son were assaulted by a group of Zionist settlers while inspecting their agricultural land east of Hebron. The incident occurred in the Jalas area near the 'Kiryat Arba' settlement, where the father, Shakir Hamid Al-Zaru, and his son Faraj sustained injuries to their heads, limbs, and chest.
Al-Zaru stated that the assault occurred while they were on their land, which is planted with olive and grape trees, and has been abandoned for two years due to ongoing threats from the settlers. He confirmed that access to this land has become impossible due to repeated assaults.
Al-Zaru added that the settlers attack Palestinian landowners under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces, which exacerbates the suffering of Palestinian families in the area. These assaults are not isolated incidents but reflect a noticeable escalation in violence against Palestinians.
The Jalas area and other regions in Hebron, especially Masafer Yatta, are witnessing an increase in settler assaults on Palestinian families and farmers, raising concerns about the security and humanitarian situation in these areas.
These incidents are part of the ongoing occupation policy aimed at displacing Palestinians and asserting control over their lands, necessitating international action to stop these violations and protect Palestinian rights.
The cultivated lands have been abandoned for two years, and access to them is prevented by the settler hordes.
