Finnish Foreign Minister: We are waiting for the right moment to recognize the State of Palestine.

The Finnish Foreign Minister, Elina Valtonen, announced that her country is waiting for the right moment to recognize the State of Palestine. These statements come at a time when the international arena is witnessing increasing movements towards recognizing the Palestinian state.

Earlier, Finnish President Alexander Stubb stated that he is ready to agree to the recognition of the State of Palestine, provided that his government presents an official proposal in this regard. Stubb condemned the difficult humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, pointing to the necessity of international action.

Stubb wrote on the platform "X" that the decisions of countries like France, Canada, and the United Kingdom reinforce the trend towards recognizing Palestine. He emphasized that this step is part of efforts to revive the peace process in the region.

Many Western countries, including France, Canada, and the United Kingdom, are moving towards recognizing the Palestinian state, especially with the upcoming session of the United Nations General Assembly. Finland has announced its alignment with these countries in this direction.

Finland has called for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the opening of humanitarian channels to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people. These statements reflect Finland's commitment to humanitarian issues and the call for peace in the region.
