Qatar: Hamas's response is positive and reflects a nearly identical picture to what Tel Aviv agreed upon.

The spokesperson for the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Majid Al-Ansari, confirmed that Hamas's response to the proposed ceasefire in the Gaza Strip was very positive and reflects a nearly identical stance to what Tel Aviv had previously agreed to. This was stated during a press conference held today, Tuesday.

Al-Ansari pointed out that the Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs participated in ceasefire talks in Al-Alamein, where Hamas's response to the proposal submitted by Qatar and Egypt was received. He explained that the proposal includes a pathway for a permanent ceasefire.

Al-Ansari also added that there is no specific timeframe for the Israeli response, but he indicated that there is information suggesting that the occupying state is considering the matter, expressing hope for a quick and positive response.

In a related context, Hamas Political Bureau member Ezzat Al-Rishq confirmed that the proposal approved by the movement focuses on a partial deal and opens the door to reaching a comprehensive agreement that achieves a complete cessation of the war.

Al-Rishq emphasized that the movement's response came after extensive consultations with Palestinian factions, expressing a sense of national responsibility that represents everyone. He confirmed that Hamas and the Palestinian factions dealt positively and flexibly to stop the aggression against the Palestinian people.

Al-Rishq also expressed hope that this response would pave the way for reaching an agreement, warning of the obstacles that Netanyahu might place in the way of achieving this agreement.

It is noteworthy that Tel Aviv estimates the presence of 50 Israeli captives in the Gaza Strip, while more than 10,800 Palestinians are imprisoned in the occupation's jails, suffering from harsh conditions.

On the other hand, Hamas confirmed its readiness to release Israeli prisoners in exchange for ending the aggression, the withdrawal of the occupying army from Gaza, and the release of Palestinian prisoners.

The occupying army continues to commit acts of genocide since October 7, 2023, resulting in the martyrdom of 62,004 Palestinians and injuring more than 156,000, reflecting the scale of the humanitarian disaster faced by the Palestinian people.
