On the morning of Sunday, August 17, 2025, Israeli occupation forces arrested ten citizens from the Hebron governorate, in a new move that reflects the escalation of assaults against Palestinians. These arrests took place during a raid on the town of Beit Ummar, where the Al-Alami family was specifically targeted.
Local security sources reported that the occupation forces stormed the town and arrested Yasser Al-Alami, Salim Al-Alami, along with his sons Saif, Muhammad, Mohannad, and Muath Hasan Al-Alami. The forces also searched several homes, resulting in the disruption of their contents and mistreatment of the citizens.
Moreover, the occupation forces raided the southern area of the city of Hebron, where they arrested citizen Faraj Abdul Aziz Al-Jamal and Hazem Dheeb Saadi. These operations are part of the ongoing policy of the occupation to target Palestinians in various areas.
Several homes were also stormed in Wadi Sa'ir in the town of Sa'ir east of Hebron, and in the village of Al-Burj to the south, increasing the suffering of citizens in those areas. These incursions are accompanied by an atmosphere of fear and anxiety among the residents.
On another note, Israeli police arrested workers Rizq Ahmed Abu Riah and Saher Ibrahim Tannina while they were inside the territories of 1948. These arrests highlight the dangers faced by Palestinians even in their workplaces.
These violations continue amid international silence, prompting the international community to take a firm stance regarding what is happening in the Palestinian territories. The arrests reflect the occupation's policy of suppressing Palestinians and depriving them of their basic rights.
