Netanyahu sets the conditions for the agreement with Hamas.. this is what he said regarding the prisoners.

The Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, announced his conditions for ending the war with Hamas, emphasizing that any agreement must align with Israeli demands. He confirmed that the release of Israeli prisoners should occur all at once, reflecting the occupation's hardline stance towards the Palestinian movement.

According to Netanyahu's office, the conditions include the complete disarmament of Hamas, in addition to Israeli security control over the Gaza Strip. He also pointed to the necessity of having an official entity that does not represent Hamas or the Palestinian Authority, reflecting the occupation's desire to impose its control over the security situation in the region.

In a related context, Netanyahu announced five fundamental principles for ending the war, which include the disarmament of Hamas and the return of all prisoners, whether alive or dead. He stressed the need to ensure that no weapons are manufactured or smuggled into the region, reflecting the occupation's concern over any future threats.

Netanyahu also highlighted the importance of Israeli security control over the Gaza Strip, including a security buffer zone, and an alternative civilian administration that does not follow Hamas or the Palestinian Authority. Thus, the occupation seeks to ensure that there are no elements that could threaten its security in the future.

The occupying state estimates that there are about 50 Israeli prisoners in Gaza, of whom 20 are alive, while there are more than 10,800 Palestinians in the occupation's prisons, suffering from harsh conditions, highlighting the contradiction in the treatment of prisoners between the two sides.

Hamas, for its part, announced its readiness to release Israeli prisoners in exchange for ending the war, reflecting its desire to reach a solution that guarantees the rights of Palestinians. However, the Israeli conditions reflect the occupation's obstinacy and its refusal to accept any settlement that guarantees the rights of the Palestinian people.

Since October 7, 2023, Gaza has been experiencing genocide at the hands of the occupation, with Israeli airstrikes resulting in more than 61,000 martyrs and 155,000 injured, reflecting the scale of the humanitarian disaster faced by Palestinians in the besieged region.

The occupying state ignores international calls to stop the aggression, further complicating the humanitarian situation in Gaza. These conditions have led to severe suffering among the population, with many facing famine and forced displacement.
