A settler fires shots at citizens in the town of Attara, north of Ramallah.

On the evening of Saturday, a settler opened live fire towards citizens at the entrance of the town of Attara, north of Ramallah, causing panic among the residents. Despite the attack, no injuries were reported among the citizens.

This assault comes after a series of attacks that the town of Attara has witnessed, where a number of settlers stormed the eastern area of the town early Friday morning, setting fire to four vehicles and parts of a house, in addition to writing racist slogans on the walls.

In a related context, the occupation forces stormed the area to provide protection for the settlers, highlighting the cooperation between the occupation army and the settlers in carrying out their assaults on Palestinian citizens.

Additionally, settlers two days ago re-erected colonial tents on the lands of Mount 'Khirbat Tarafin' near the entrance of the town of Attara, after they had been demolished by the occupation army four times previously. This step comes as part of their attempts to seize the area, which is estimated to be about 2000 dunams.

It is noteworthy that the settlers established the colonial outpost for the first time last Monday, in an attempt to control the mountain, which is considered an archaeological area, increasing tensions in the region.

According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, the occupation forces and settlers carried out more than 1821 assaults during the past month of July, with occupation soldiers executing 1355 assaults, while settlers carried out 466 assaults, primarily concentrated in the governorates of Ramallah, Al-Bireh, Hebron, and Nablus.
