Today, Saturday, settlers stormed the Khillat Umm al-Hassan area east of the village of Kisan, east of Bethlehem, and threatened citizen Nasar Rashayda with eviction from his home within 24 hours. These threats come in the context of the repeated assaults faced by Palestinians in that area.
Ahmad Ghazal, the secretary of the "Fatah" movement in Kisan, reported that a group of settlers raided Rashayda's home, which consists of a tent covered with aluminum sheets, and threatened to burn the house and assault his family if he did not vacate the premises.
It is worth mentioning that the settlers had previously demolished the home of citizen Nasar Rashayda about a month ago, which was built of bricks and concrete, reflecting the escalation of assaults against Palestinians in the area.
The village of Kisan and its surroundings, especially the Khillat Umm al-Hassan area, are witnessing repeated assaults by settlers, manifested in home raids, attacks on farmers, and attempts to seize land, under the protection of the occupation forces that provide cover for these violations.
Ghazal called on local and international human rights and humanitarian organizations to intervene urgently to protect citizen Rashayda and his family, consisting of about 30 members, including his children, their wives, and grandchildren, and to prevent attempts to forcibly displace them.
