Israeli media: Communications with several countries to attempt to evacuate Palestinians from Gaza

Israeli Channel 12 reported that Tel Aviv is in contact with four countries in addition to the Somaliland region, in an attempt to relocate Palestinians from the Gaza Strip. This move faces widespread Arab, Islamic, and international rejection, as it is considered a violation of international and humanitarian law.

The channel indicated that there has been progress in discussions with Indonesia and the Somaliland region, which has not received official recognition since declaring independence from Somalia in 1991. The other countries with which Israel is in contact include Libya, Uganda, and South Sudan.

The channel quoted an unnamed Israeli source as saying that some countries are showing greater openness to accommodate Palestinians displaced from Gaza, despite no agreement being reached with any of these countries so far.

In a related context, the South Sudanese Foreign Ministry denied claims that the Juba government is in discussions with Israel regarding the resettlement of Palestinians from Gaza in its territory, affirming that these reports are unfounded.

The U.S. embassy in Libya also denied reports that the U.S. administration is working on a plan to transfer Palestinians from Gaza to Libya, stating that these reports are baseless.

Israel is adhering to a plan announced by former U.S. President Donald Trump for the forced relocation of Palestinians, which faces Palestinian, Arab, Islamic, and international rejection.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel has been committing genocide in the Gaza Strip, including killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, ignoring international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice.

The Israeli genocide has resulted in the martyrdom of 61,722 Palestinians, with 154,525 others injured, in addition to more than 9,000 missing and hundreds of thousands displaced.
