The State of Qatar, in an official statement, considered that the remarks made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding what he calls the "Greater Israel vision" represent an extension of arrogance and exacerbation of crises in the region. This statement came after Netanyahu's remarks in which he declared his strong attachment to a vision based on expansion and the occupation of more Arab lands.
The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs indicated that these statements represent a blatant violation of the sovereignty of states, international law, and the United Nations Charter. It affirmed that the false Israeli claims will not diminish the legitimate rights of Arab states and peoples.
Qatar also called on the international community to stand in solidarity to confront these provocations that expose the region to further violence and chaos. It expressed its full support for all efforts aimed at achieving a just, comprehensive, and sustainable peace in the region.
In an interview that Netanyahu conducted with the Hebrew channel "i24," he stated that he feels he is on a mission on behalf of the Jewish people, emphasizing his strong connection to the Greater Israel vision. He clarified that this vision includes the occupied Palestinian territories and parts of Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, and Egypt.
It is worth noting that the term "Greater Israel" has been used since the 1967 war to refer to areas including East Jerusalem, the West Bank, the Gaza Strip, the Sinai Peninsula, and the Golan Heights. These statements raise significant concern in the region, as Qatar considers them part of an occupation policy that threatens regional and international security and stability.
The State of Qatar expresses its condemnation and denunciation of the statements made by the Prime Minister of the Israeli occupation.
