Gaza Health: The toll of the Israeli aggression has reached 61,722 dead

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on Tuesday that the death toll from the Israeli aggression, which began on October 7, 2023, has risen to 61,722 dead and 154,525 injured. This statement was made in the ministry's daily statistical report.

In the past 24 hours, hospitals in the Gaza Strip received 123 dead and 437 new injuries, reflecting the ongoing escalation and aggression against civilians in the besieged enclave.

Since the resumption of Israeli aggression on March 18, 2023, the death toll has risen to 10,201 dead and 42,484 injuries, indicating the scale of the humanitarian disaster faced by the Palestinians.

The ministry also reported that the death toll among those waiting for aid has risen since May 27, 2023, to 1,859 dead and more than 13,594 injuries, following the killing of 21 Palestinians and the injury of 185 in the past 24 hours.

It is noteworthy that Israel has been implementing a plan for distributing aid since May 27, which Palestinians describe as 'death traps.' This plan is supported by Israel and the United States but rejected by the international community.

The Ministry of Health also reported the death of 8 Palestinians in the past 24 hours due to complications from famine and malnutrition, including 3 children, raising the total number of famine victims to 235 dead, among them 106 children.

The ongoing Israeli aggression since October 7, 2023, which is supported by the United States, includes genocide involving killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, ignoring international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice to stop these actions.

In addition to the dead and injured, there are more than 9,000 missing persons and hundreds of thousands of displaced individuals, further complicating the humanitarian situation in the besieged Gaza Strip.
