France: The future of the Gaza Strip should be part of a future Palestinian state governed by the Palestinian Authority.

The spokesperson for the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs stated that the future of the Gaza Strip should be framed within the context of a future Palestinian state governed by the Palestinian Authority. These remarks come at a sensitive time as tensions in the region escalate.

The spokesperson added that France is mobilizing efforts to implement the two-state solution, which is considered the only solution capable of ensuring lasting peace and security for both Israelis and Palestinians. He emphasized the importance of an immediate ceasefire.

France's statements came after the Israeli government announced its intention to militarily occupy northern Gaza, warning that this could represent a disaster and lead to more casualties, both among Israeli hostages and civilians in Gaza.

The spokesperson also noted the support of the countries that signed the New York Declaration, which was made during the United Nations conference at the end of July, for the deployment of a temporary international mission aimed at establishing stability in the region.

France is working in cooperation with its partners and the United Nations to form this mission, proposing that an international coalition body be established, with the United Nations Security Council defining its mandate and regional partners leading it.

This mission is seen as a reliable step towards ending the ongoing war and establishing lasting peace in the region, which France seeks in collaboration with the international community.
