A comprehensive deal to end the Gaza war.. Cairo negotiations under rising international pressure

Secret negotiations are taking place in Cairo, sponsored by Egypt and Qatar, with potential participation from Turkey, aimed at reaching a comprehensive deal to end the war in the Gaza Strip between the occupation and Hamas. This anticipated deal aims to go beyond just a ceasefire to include the exchange of detainees and the restructuring of the civil administration.

Under increasing international pressure, Benjamin Netanyahu's government is facing significant demands to ease the aggression on Gaza. French President Emmanuel Macron has called for the formation of an international coalition with a UN mandate to manage the sector, while Italy's Defense Minister has threatened to impose sanctions on the occupation due to the ongoing bombardment.

Reports indicate that several countries, including Australia and New Zealand, intend to recognize the State of Palestine during the United Nations General Assembly meeting, which increases political pressure on the occupation.

According to former Deputy Director of Egyptian Military Intelligence, Ahmed Ibrahim, the joint initiative between Egypt and Qatar includes the release of all 'Israeli' detainees and the release of a number of 'Palestinian' detainees. It also includes the acceptance of the occupation army's positioning under Arab and American supervision during a transitional period.

The first phase of the deal involves a temporary ceasefire and partial release of detainees, followed by gradual steps to disarm Hamas and the gradual control of the sector. These steps aim to achieve long-term stability in the region.

Netanyahu faces strong opposition from the far-right, which pushes for a complete occupation of the sector, while his government is criticized by the opposition due to the potential collapse of the occupation's international standing and the rising suffering of detainees.

In contrast, statements from the White House clarify a clear American shift towards supporting a political solution and pressuring the occupation to accept the deal. This shift reflects a change in the American strategy towards the conflict.

Egypt, Qatar, Turkey, and the Palestinian Authority play a pivotal role in mediating to ensure a comprehensive agreement that achieves security for the occupation and preserves the rights of Gaza's residents, with international oversight from the United Nations to ensure the stability of the transitional phase.
