Medical sources announced today, Monday, that the death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 61,499 dead, most of whom are children and women, since the beginning of the Israeli occupation's aggression on October 7, 2023.
The medical sources also reported that the number of injuries has risen to 153,575, while several victims remain under the rubble, hindering rescue and ambulance teams from reaching them.
In the past 24 hours, 69 dead have arrived at hospitals in the Gaza Strip, including one whose body was recovered, and 362 injured, reflecting the escalating pace of aggression and the continued targeting of civilians.
Since March 18, following the occupation's breach of the ceasefire agreement, the total number of martyrs has reached 9,989, and 41,534 injured, indicating a worsening humanitarian situation in the sector.
The sources clarified that the toll of those who reached hospitals from the aid victims in the past 24 hours was 29 martyrs, and the injuries were 127, bringing the total number of martyrs from earning a living to 1,807, and the injuries to 13,021.
The death toll in the Gaza Strip has reached 61,499, the majority of whom are children and women.
