China expressed its deep concern today, Friday, regarding the Israeli decision to fully reoccupy the Gaza Strip. This statement comes at a sensitive time as the humanitarian situation in the besieged territory worsens.
The spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Geng Shuang, affirmed that Gaza belongs to the Palestinian people, emphasizing that this decision contradicts the rights of Palestinians and complicates the situation in the region further.
Geng also pointed out that an immediate ceasefire is the best way to alleviate the escalating humanitarian crisis in Gaza. He confirmed that this is key to fully resolving the conflict.
The spokesperson added that his country is ready to work with the international community to end the war in Gaza as soon as possible, stressing the importance of alleviating the humanitarian disaster faced by the population.
Geng also called for the implementation of the two-state solution as a fair and lasting resolution to the Palestinian issue, emphasizing the necessity of achieving a comprehensive settlement that guarantees the rights of Palestinians.
These statements come at a time when international pressure is increasing on the occupation to stop the aggression and initiate serious dialogue to achieve peace in the region.
