Zionist settlers' assaults escalate in the occupied West Bank
Zionist settlers' assaults continue in the West Bank under the protection of the occupation army.
On Thursday, Zionist settlers attacked several Palestinian villages in various areas of the occupied West Bank, under the protection of the occupation army. In the Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate, dozens of settlers gathered in the village of Al-Mughayer, where residents confronted them, leading to clashes with the occupation forces that stormed the village.
In the Nablus Governorate, local sources reported that settlers' bulldozers began to carve out new settlement roads on land belonging to the Qabalan municipality, increasing tensions in the area. Meanwhile, in the Hebron Governorate, settlers' bulldozers carried out land leveling in the town of Dura, where settlers gathered in large numbers in the Al-Hamra area.
According to a report by the Palestinian Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, the occupation army and settlers carried out 1,821 assaults in the West Bank during July, including 466 assaults by settlers, resulting in the martyrdom of 4 Palestinians. There were also attempts to establish 18 new settlement outposts.
With the escalation of aggression in the Gaza Strip, assaults by the occupation army and settlers in the West Bank have increased, resulting in the martyrdom of at least 1,013 Palestinians and the injury of about 7,000 others, in addition to the arrest of more than 18,500 Palestinians. These figures reflect the catastrophic situation faced by the Palestinian people under occupation.
