Israeli human rights organization B'Tselem accused Europe and the United States on Monday of contributing to the "spillover" of genocide in Gaza, calling for international action to halt the mass killings and attempts at ethnic cleansing in the besieged enclave.
The organization said in a statement, "Europe and the United States have not acted to stop the genocide in Gaza, but rather have contributed to its spread. The situation there calls for international action to halt the Israeli genocide."
She stressed that the Israeli attack on civilians and defenseless citizens in Gaza "includes mass killing, forced displacement, and attempts at ethnic cleansing, creating catastrophic living conditions."
She also warned that this ongoing genocide in the Gaza Strip "will extend and will not be limited to Gaza."
Regarding the situation of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli prisons, the organization said that these prisons have become "torture camps for thousands of Palestinians without trial."
It should be noted that since October 7, 2023, Israel has been waging a genocidal war in Gaza, including killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, ignoring international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice to halt it.
The Israeli genocide, with American support, left more than 204,000 Palestinians dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 10,000 missing, in addition to hundreds of thousands of displaced persons and a famine that claimed the lives of many.
