Hamas: US statements are not consistent with the negotiating process.

Hamas Political Bureau member Izzat al-Rishq made statements Saturday morning saying that statements by US President Donald Trump and US officials, including Witkoff, regarding Hamas's refusal to reach a ceasefire agreement "contradict the assessments of the mediators and are not consistent with the course of the negotiating process."

Al-Rishq affirmed that the movement has acted "with national responsibility and flexibility" since the start of the negotiations, emphasizing Hamas's commitment to "reaching a comprehensive agreement that halts the aggression and puts an end to the suffering of our people in Gaza."

He added that the US statements "overlook the real obstacle to all agreements on Gaza," referring to Benjamin Netanyahu's government, which he accused of "evading and evading commitments" to any potential agreements.

Trump claimed that the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) does not genuinely want to reach a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, while Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed that Israel is considering other options for returning the prisoners.

Trump said in remarks he made on Friday from the White House lawn that there would have to be a fight and that Hamas would have to be eliminated. He said that Hamas "doesn't want to make a deal, and I think it wants to die."

He added that his administration had withdrawn from the Gaza negotiations, which he described as unfortunate, accusing Hamas of not wanting to reach an agreement because it knew what would happen after all the hostages were returned.

He explained that he is aware of the difficulty of recovering the remaining prisoners in Gaza, as their release would deprive Hamas of its remaining bargaining chips. He emphasized that the situation in Gaza is dire, and that "Hamas has gotten everyone into trouble, and we will see how Israel responds."

He said, "I spoke with Netanyahu about sending aid to the Gaza Strip," but declined to go into details, saying, "I can't reveal what I spoke with Netanyahu about, and it was somewhat disappointing."

He pointed out that "the families of the Israeli prisoners asked him to help return their sons—including the dead—and we did so."
