The lawyer for the Commission of Prisoners' Affairs and Ex-Prisoners reported, after his recent visit to Gilboa Prison, that prisoner Muhammad Osama Rabie (21 years old) from the town of Beit Anan/Jerusalem, is being subjected to deliberate medical neglect aimed at slowly killing him, as is the case with many prisoners in the occupation's prisons.
He said: "Rabee had undergone surgery before his arrest in 2021 to remove air sacs from his lungs, but his health deteriorated after he was beaten by prison repression units. He now suffers from severe chest pain and difficulty breathing, in addition to constant headaches. He has been suffering from advanced scabies for more than a year, but he has recently begun to recover."
He added, "In light of the severe suffering that prisoner Rabie is experiencing, he has submitted numerous requests to the prison administration to visit the clinic and see a doctor, but he has always been refused."
It is noteworthy that the prisoner was arrested on 03/07/2024, and a 9-month prison sentence was issued against him, but he was surprised that his file was transferred to administrative detention after the end of his sentence, and he is currently in the second administrative extension.
