An elderly man suffered fractures and bruises after being attacked by settlers on Monday in the village of Al-Minya, southeast of Bethlehem.
Local sources reported that a group of settlers attacked the elderly man, Abdul Mahdi Matour (60 years old), and beat him with sticks, causing injuries to his face and hand.
The Red Crescent in Bethlehem confirmed that citizen Matour sustained a broken jaw and hand as a result of the attack. He was given first aid and transferred to Beit Jala Governmental Hospital for treatment.
A group of settlers attacked Minya today, setting up four tents in the "Al-Qarn" area in the middle of the village, and uprooting 1,500 olive saplings belonging to citizens from the Al-Matour and Jabarin families.
