Gaza Health Ministry: 142 dead in the Gaza Strip as a result of the occupation's aggression in the past 24 hours.

The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on Wednesday that 142 dead and 487 wounded had arrived at hospitals across the Strip over the past 24 hours. The Ministry noted that the bodies of a number of victims remain under the rubble and in the streets, with ambulances and civil defense teams unable to reach them due to the ongoing shelling.

The Gaza Health Ministry said in a statement that the death toll from the Israeli occupation's aggression has risen to 57,012 dead and 134,592 injured since October 7, 2023, amid continued bombing and targeting of civilians.

In a related development, the ministry confirmed that the death toll from "living martyrs"—those killed while attempting to obtain humanitarian aid—has risen to 640 and 4,488 injured, with 39 people killed and more than 210 others injured in the past day alone.

The Ministry of Health mourned the death of Dr. Marwan Sultan, director of the Indonesian Hospital in northern Gaza, along with several members of his family. The Ministry noted that the repeated targeting of medical and humanitarian personnel "reflects the occupation's bloody approach and its insistence on eliminating workers in the health and humanitarian sectors."

The ministry confirmed that the ongoing aggression has caused widespread destruction to health facilities, further exacerbating the humanitarian situation and hindering the provision of medical care to the wounded and sick.
