Trump attacks Zohran Mamdani, the Democratic candidate for New York mayor.

US President Donald Trump launched a broad attack on Democrats after Indian-origin candidate Zahran Mamdani won the Democratic primary for mayor of New York City.

After Mamdani's victory was announced, Trump sharply attacked Mamdani, describing him as a "100% crazy communist," as he put it.

In his posts on his Truth Social platform, Trump went beyond harsh political criticism to personal criticism, claiming that Mamdani "sounds terrible," has a "raspy voice," and is "not very smart."

The president also noted the support of groups like "the Cortez Squad and all the idiots" for Mamdani, adding that Senator Chuck Schumer is "fawning over him."

Trump called Mamdani's victory "a huge moment in the history of our country," referring to what he sees as a radical shift toward the far left.

The victory of Zohran Mamdani, a self-described "democratic socialist," has sparked widespread controversy in American politics. His campaign focused on important issues facing New Yorkers, such as housing affordability through rent freezes, free bus service, and universal childcare.

This victory is seen as embodying the ongoing struggle between the traditional Democratic Party and its growing progressive base.

Trump did not stop there, but continued to stir controversy in another post in which he addressed the upcoming elections.

In a seemingly sarcastic suggestion, Trump suggested that Democrats should nominate "a low-IQ candidate, like Representative Jasmine Crockett, for president." He also suggested that the "AOC+3," a group led by left-wing Representative Ocasio-Cortez, should hold senior positions in the future administration, such as the vice presidency and three high-ranking Cabinet members.

Trump concluded his post by saying that America would be "really destroyed" under this scenario, referring to the future he envisions under the leadership of these individuals, coinciding with the victory of "the future communist mayor of New York City, Zohran Mamdani."

It's worth noting that Representative Jasmine Crockett, a congresswoman representing Dallas, has not announced a bid for president or vice president in 2024. News about her focuses on her current role as a rising political figure in the Democratic Party, having recently sought a leadership position on the House Oversight Committee before withdrawing her candidacy.

Crockett is known for her harsh criticism of the Trump administration and her strong social media presence.
