Former extremist Knesset member Yehuda Glick led settlers' storming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque on Thursday.
The Jerusalem Governorate reported that dozens of settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque from the Mughrabi Gate in successive groups, led by extremist Glick, under heavy protection from the occupation police.
The gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque were opened yesterday, Wednesday, after a six-day closure during which worshippers were prevented from performing prayers.
The occupation forces are imposing strict measures around the mosque and the Old City, targeting Jerusalemites with attacks and obstructing their movement.
