10 injured, homes and property burned in a large-scale settler attack east of Ramallah

Ten citizens were injured in a large-scale settler attack on the town of Deir Dibwan, east of Ramallah, on Wednesday evening.

According to local sources, dozens of settlers attacked homes in the town of Deir Dibwan, burning three houses and the area known as "Abu Shahada Estate" at the western entrance, as well as a number of vehicles and horse and sheep pens. They besieged citizens inside their homes and prevented young men, ambulances and fire engines from reaching the area. They also threw stones at vehicles passing by on the main street adjacent to the town.

The sources added that 10 citizens were injured, two of whom were taken to the hospital, while the rest received treatment at a medical center in the town.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said its crews treated two people injured by physical assault during an attack by settlers in the town of Deir Dibwan. They were then transferred to the hospital. Five other people injured by the assault were also treated at a medical center in the town.

The sources added that settlers from the colonial outpost established on the lands of the towns of Deir Dibwan and Barqa also attacked homes and property belonging to citizens in the neighboring village of Beitin, and attempted to set fire to a number of them.

The sources added that the occupation forces, which provided protection for the settlers, closed the entrance to the town and prevented citizens from leaving or entering it.
